Reader in a foreign land
I got an email this morning from a woman in a foreign land who purchased my book and read it through.
Her email is the most amazing testimonial, about how she read it cover-to-cover in one day and it helped ease some anguish she'd been feeling at a difficult time in her life.
It's the kind of testimonial I won't publish anywhere because it's too personal. It's possible that many of the testimonials I receive will be private, emotion-laden reactions like this one. It was my hope that Practically Shameless would touch people emotionally, and it appears from half-a-dozen responses this week that my hope may be fulfilled. I'm feeling a glow of warmth inside my chest, a glow that says something like, "You did it, Alyce. Good job."
