Update on Bestseller Day at Amazon

I've been wanting to share some screen captures from Practically Shameless Bestseller Day at Amazon.com, but some of them are far too wide for this blog.

So I've uploaded them to a page at the site, the PS Bestseller page, with a simple narrative to explain what each picture represents.

This experience was my first real awareness of bestseller lists at Amazon, I'd never really noticed them before, though I've been using Amazon as a resource for more than a dozen years at least.

I particularly enjoy that first screen capture, showing Practically Shameless at number 1 on the list for books by and about Jung. It's very humbling to see my book listed above Jung's own Memories, Dreams, Reflections, one of my favorite books and a book that changed my life in several ways. (I've recently begun a series of commentaries on that book; click "Jung's 'Memories...'" in the list of blog topic categories to see just those entries.)

Today, a week later, Practically Shameless is still on the Bestseller list in several categories, though it has dropped off the list for Personal Transformation. As I said in an earlier post, that category contains some books that have been bestsellers for decades, and I'm proud simply to have joined them for a few days.
